Hello, I'm Christalynn — the hands and heart behind 31 Essential Botanicals.

I was born and raised in a small town called Pine Bluff, Arkansas. In May 2021, I graduated college with a nursing degree and started working as a med-surg RN soon after.

By fall of 2024, I was burnt out — overwhelmed by the work demands and feeling like I was doing more harm than good to my patients.

Then, in December 2024, the Lord opened my eyes to the beauty in His creation. It was literally a stop-and-smell-the-roses kind of moment: I sat in bed researching different trees to plant in the backyard of our new home. A few months later, God helped me discover the medicinal value of the weeds growing right there in my own backyard.

As I went down what society calls a "rabbit hole," I had a mighty revelation of Genesis 1:29–30 — that God had already given us everything we need in nature to heal these earthen vessels. Ever since, gardening & herbal medicine have been a great passion of mine.
